Colorado Eagles- Back to the CHL Finals

If you have never been to a Colorado Eagles Hockey game, you are missing out on some great entertainment.  Last night's game against the Texas Brahmas was one of the more intense games that I have been to in a while. Game 7's are always intense but last night raised the bar.

The Eagles will take on the winner of the Laredo Bucks and the Arizona Sundogs for all the CHL marbles. Game 6 is Friday night with Arizona holding the advantage 3-2.

Northern Colorado Buyers & Seller….. Insist on Full-Time Agents

This past weekend, I was showing property to one of my buyer clients. During the course of the day, the client identified two homes that he wanted me to check into further before making an offer. After leaving messages on the other agents voice mail, I heard back from agent # one within an hour or so of my original call. Agent # two did not return my call by the end of the day on Sunday. No big deal, I try and take Sunday's off myself. On Monday, still no call, so I left another voice mail message. Tuesday, same thing, no call. Wednesday I leave another message and finally get a return call about 4PM in the afternoon. The agent was quick to apologize for her delay in getting back to me. What she said next made me sad and angry all at the same time. This woman had to two part-time jobs in addition to her real estate practice, recently divorced with two young mouths to feed. Very sad!

Homeowner Insurance Basics

So your renting days are over and you are on the verge of entering into the great American dream of "owning" your first home.  Decisions are flying at you from every angle; offers & counteroffers, mortgages, downpayments, potential redecorating, etc., and your realtor or mortgage company says, "Who is your homeowners insurance with?"  So you call your auto insurance people and the 800 lady on the phone or the bored staff person at the corner store throws some figures at you, you sign and you are all set for closing next month.  The problem?  You don't know what you just bought, whether you are covered well or how a homeowners insurance product even works.  What follows is an admittedly brief but basic overview of what and how a homeowners policy works.

Agents- Why Proofreading Is Important

Agent Funnies.png

I think it is fair to say that the intended message did not come across as the agent would have wanted.

Wa Mu and Citi Group Proof of Unwinding

It was announced yesterday that Washington Mutual was infused with 7 billion dollars from a private equity group thus saving them from being the next Bear Sterns. There were stipulations with the gift however. Washington Mutual that has been a top four originator of mortgages in the nation is not offering loans from the wholesale side. They are still producing from the retail bank outlets but no longer accepting loans from brokers.

Does the National Association of Realtors Have any Credibility?

In order for me to be a Realtor, I must be a member of NAR. Much like a teacher, they willingly or unwillingly pay to be a part of the industry that is suppposed to represent their best interest. Question? What if I don't agree with those that I pay to represent my best interest? Do I quit and go find a real job? Nope, I whine. See below…..

Like To Shower?

Kohler’s DTV shower was introduced last year, but the latest version is fully loaded. It features a control system for the shower with functions like water pressure and temperature, but also chromatherapy (from above), steam, and a built in stereo system, all controlled from a LCD screen that can be mounted on the wall.

I imagine within the next several years this will be a standard feature in many master bathrooms.

Real Estate Agent Tip of the Day

The next time you take photos for one of your listings, please make sure that the photo actually accomplishes what was intended.

For example, does this photo compel an agent to hurry out and show?
