Selling Your noco Property? Make Sure You Do This….

With our recent snow storms, it is easy to separate your home from the competition. How? Make your home accessible by removing the snow leading up to your property, include at least one floor mat and perhaps the little light blue booty socks upon entry.  I can't tell you how many times I have showed property during the winter months with snow (in some cases several inches or more) leading up to the entry of the property. Unless the property is vacant, this should not happen. To a certain degree, it already eliminates the house from the buyers perspective.

The floormat is another must. With snow on the ground and no place for the potential buyer to wipe their feet, they may feel like turning around and not even seeing the place. After they wipe their feet, (please don't assume that people will just take off their shoes) you will want to have the booties at the ready. The booties will keep the dirt and moisture off of your floor. This is important for obvious reasons but imagine having one party in on the same day, tracking dirt and mud onto your floor and then having another showing scheduled for later that day. Yikes! The second buyer in may feel like you don't take care of the place and automatically eliminate it.

Right now, showings are few and far between, so make sure that when you do get a showing, clear the snow, include a floormat and offer the booties. Remember, it's the the little things that make one house stand out from another.
