Restaurant Review- Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill: It’s amazing how much growth has occurred in this short span of time in our NoCoHub area! One area of growth that I have especially enjoyed is the addition of some wonderful new dining options. After two recent visits, I believe we are especially fortunate to have BoneFish Grill among our new choices. Having just opened last month many people haven’t had the chance to get over there yet – I absolutely recommend it!

The first time I went was for a quiet date night with my husband. The restaurant was absolutely buzzing with activity because they had just opened the day before. There were probably 3 supervisors for each diner that evening. Our waitress had just started and she was very sweet and had some good recommendations for us.   We found the entire staff to be very well trained and absolutely attentive. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer is one of their most popular dishes and definitely worth trying if you like spicy. I had heard a woman mention how incredible their Lobster tail was as she was leaving, so I ordered that. It did NOT disappoint! Doug had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was good - though not as good as the Lobster. We generally order the house wine and that evening had the Cabernet – it was wonderful.

For our second visit we went with a group of 4 couples. We had made reservations (a must now!) but we still had to wait for 30 minutes. I suppose that’s to be expected with a busy night at a new popular restaurant, but there was barely standing room! Unfortunately, no one was able to wait outside because it was a stormy, windy evening. Again, the staff was very helpful and handled things as well as they could. Once we were seated the evening went much more smoothly. I had heard the crab cakes were very good so I had those. WOW! I often think of crab cakes as being more “cake” and not so much “crab”. Not these! Doug had a combo plate of shrimp and scallops that were so good, I’ll probably get that next time. The house Chardonnay was the perfect compliment.

So all and all I have no negatives to share with you about this restaurant. The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable. The service has been wonderful. The food and wine menu is excellent (and yes they have great non-seafood options as well). What I also really appreciate is that the prices are very fair for what you get. So check out Bonefish Grill – I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
