Finding a Good Restaurant in Northern Colorado
I grew up in Southern California and was a spoiled rotten brat when it came to having great restaurants. We had seafood restaurants, steak restaurants, Asian restaurants and just about every different ethnic food known to man. When my family and I moved to Northern Colorado, one of the only things we have missed are the choices when it comes to good food. Yeah, we missed the beach, family and friends but frankly, we missed the food just as much as anything else.
After living here for a little while, we have gotten much more familiar with what's out there by way of friends, neighbors and fellow Realtors. We have asked where the best seafood restaurant is, the best steak place and so on. When we hear someone get real excited about a place, we get excited as well. While some recommendations have been disappointing, for the most part, people do have a good sense of quality, price and flavor when it comes to food. That being said, I can only confirm one point when it comes to moving to a new area, ask around, ask around and ask around. Chances are your neighbors, friends and fellow workers will have lived there longer than you and will have their favorites. Take a chance and trust those that get fired up about a particular place (restaurant).
So far our favorites in Northern Colorado are:
Hibachi Grill in Fort Collins
4th Street Chop House in Loveland
Biaggi's Italian Grill in Loveland
Canton Palace and P.F Chang's for Chinese (both in Loveland)
Charlie's Grilled Subs in Loveland
On the Border in Loveland
Culver's in Loveland for Hamburgers
Beau Jo's Pizza in Fort Collins
Mimi's Cafe in Loveland
What we need in Northern Colorado:
A sushi place (none in Loveland yet)
A very good Mexican restaurant
Wahoo's Fish Taco
A good Persian food restaurant
IN N' OUT BURGER
We are hopeful that a new restaurant (Bonefish Grill- Coming Soon) will help satisfy our shortage of seafood restaurants in the area.
