Why NoCoHUB.com?

As a kid growing up in Southern California (sorry natives), I remember my parents telling me that we had to drive 12 miles to the nearest grocery store, the nearest shopping mall was just as far and the freeway was just 2 lanes (now it's 5, 6 including the toll lane). The area was mostly known for it's orange groves and reasonably close proximity to the beach. When my wife and I left SoCal, we left a place that had a Starbucks on just about every street corner, no more orange groves and more than enough shopping and restaurant choices to last a lifetime. We left SoCal to change our quality of life (for the better), to raise our children (Abby 5, MacKenzie 1.5 and one on the way) and to be a part of a growing yet peaceful place.

The HUB is so far away from the chaos I left in SoCal in terms of traffic, growth and the overall urban sprawl. This place is shaping up to be more than just a great place to live, shop and play but a power center of Northern Colorado. How many other parts of the country have a major shopping center (Promenade Shops, Marketplace), a world class hospital (Medical Center of the Rockies), a major concert and sporting venue (Bud Events Center), an exhibit outdoor events center (The Ranch), a place to buy a car (Motorplex), a region airport (Loveland/Fort Collins Airport), commercial office space (Range View Business Park, Hahns Peak One, Foxtail Office Center, Precision One, Crossroads Plaza, 2534).

In the near future, we will have several other projects coming on line that will be an amazing draw to our area including Eagle Crossing and Grand Station. What an exciting time to be in Northern Colorado!

NoCoHUB.com started with the idea that together we are stronger and more supportive of what's around us. I have informally defined the HUB at a 3 x 5 mile rectangle that includes 2534, Centerra, Crossroads, The Ranch and everything in it. From residential subdivisions to future high rises, from shopping malls to Mom & Pop corner stores, the HUB has so much going on and if it isn't already, it will without a doubt be the epicenter of Northern Colorado.
